| Walking pneumonia |

| Nothing kills cycling plans better than sickness. In mid-September I was unfortunate enough to catch a case of walking pneumonia. It started out with flu like symptoms then moved into my chest. X-rays confirmed that I had pneumonia. Fortuneatly it was the walking variety so I could at least do my job and carry on with day-to-day family responsibilities. I went thru 2 rounds of antibiotics to knock that out of my system. That in turn has triggered an ashtma-like condition where out of the clear blue I start coughing and wheezing. And on top of all that I now have a sinus infection that requires a 3rd round of antibiotics. No fun! My much anticipated cyclocross season had to be cancelled. |
